Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for over a decade. Alexandra is famous for her parts on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. at the age of sixteen, she had landed several television roles, including the lead role in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. She was praised for her role in Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this actress. Alexandra was involved in a variety of important international and national projects throughout her career. One of these is the British biographical movie Control, the Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, as well as the French historical miniseries Napoleon. She was also on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
