Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She's now a Romanian/German actress. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her professional career in the show business at an early age. When she was 16, Alexandra had landed prominent roles in a variety of TV dramas. After her critically acclaimed role in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, on Downfall. This film received nominations for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial popularity. The other Oscar nominated films featuring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is well-known for her participation in a variety of important projects in both the US and internationally. They include the British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historical miniseries Napoleon as well as other miniseries. She was also a juror at the Transylvania International Film Festival as well as The Cannes Film Festival.
